Minimal Address Space in the Cyberspace

Our world wide web is crowded with both secure and insecure information as millions of good and bad packets travel through it. The bad packets are normally destroyed to avoid them from infecting the other packets. However, if the bad packets manage to make their way through the web they have the advantage of infecting the other packets.

Our cyberspace within the web is experiencing an extreme overflow of information traveling back and forth. It is highly recommended that we solve the concerns of having limited IP address space within the web through implementing IPV6, this would mean migrating the older IPv4 into IPv6. Notice that, its best to consider the potential security hazards during the transition period so that you may take the necessary precautions to complete the movement without jeopardizing your data, information, the people and the organization as a whole.

The benefits of Ipv6 include:

  1. Increased speed for the routing process due to efficient header format and multitasking.
  2. Larger address space for better network management and routing efficiency
  3. Scalability and multicasting
  4. Better header format
  5. Enhanced security features such as added increased encryption and security options
  6. Resource allocation support
The figure below illustrates how IPv6 provides total security and well utilization of the address space. According to Orange business services,  "Businesses will benefit from more detailed and intelligent monitoring of equipment, devices and inventory, ultimately enabling them to be more proactive and provide an improved customer experience."

Tips for being on-top of IT-Security

The world wide web has implemented change in the human race and we have decided to adapt to technology which is the fastest, easiest, cheapest, efficient and  more effective means to perform most tasks.

But this comes with a price since it leaves everyone vulnerable to cyber warfare's and crimes.

The world wide web is definitely unsafe, however, various software and hardware engineers have come up with ways for us to increase internet security in our own cyber space, within the already infected world wide web. These securities include DMV's, IDS's, firewalls and so forth.

However, many people are not aware of the IT security threats but this is your time to explore some or all of the following options to avoid being a victim of any malicious activities or threats.

  1. Updating your softwares and hardwares.
  2. Using the most secure anti-virus, anti-malware scanners.
  3. Avoid phishing scams by not trusting anything you hear or see and respond to it, thinking its authentic.
  4. Beware of hackers, shoulder-surfers and dumpster diving.
  5. Keeping your assets at a secure location to avoid theft.
  6. Complicating and lengthening your passwords and, passphrase keys and encouraging encryptions.
  7. Being updated with the latest security news.
  8. Reading cyber security articles or attending awareness training programs or boot camps.

Who is at loss?

It is getting tougher for our graduates to get a job in their career field and they resort to low level jobs to be able to make ends meet and as economy gradually picks up, it’s still harder for companies that are trying to be more competitive in the market and therefore they use cheap labor.

Companies still know how important cyber security is. They understand the needed to secure networks and computer systems for effective data storage and retrieval. Just as importantly, they are needed to secure the privacy and integrity of personal and corporate identities.

Natural disasters and artificial damages such as, spyware, malware, viruses, hackers, out-dated systems, physically damaged systems, theft all result to hefty damages such as loss of data, hijacking of machines and so forth that costs companies millions of dollars.

This requires that we have vast technical knowledge on our hands and advanced tools and equipments to help us control and manage the safety of our data, people, systems and the company.

Social site woes

Social networking sites have been advantageous for companies to monitor recruited employees and also to advertise themselves; it is also a means to diversify multicultural individuals to get in-touch with both old and new friends and family all over the world in a faster and easy way.

Although, social networking sites have privacy settings, there’s no guarantee that the information that has already leaked on the World Wide Web has not been viewed or collected by someone else.

Everyone should be careful as to what they post on these websites, because they can case red flags such as;

  • Posting of ‘x-rated’ videos or photos can be incriminating to the  individual.
  • The more things you love viewing or writing about on the social   site can be collected for marketing purposes without your approval.
  • Your walls, notes, poems, events etc. can be used by other persons resulting to intellectual property infringement cases.
  • The predators’ e.g. sexual predators and identity thieves can grab your personal information to use for malicious activities.

Overcrowding at the workplace

Has caused major health and safety concerns and have made it mandatory for companies to recommend solutions that would implement active production. Please read on overcrowding Research

Going Cloud

Cloud computing provides the means through which computing infrastructure, applications, business processes and other data resources can be utilized and shared during and at your convenience.

Cloud computing is offered in different forms: public clouds, private clouds, and hybrid clouds, which combine both public and private.

It continues to gain popularity for many businesses and customers. It offers an opportunity for multiple developers to use HP products such as HP servers and other appliances while working on their applications, with minimal security threat as it also isolates certain network paths and or systems.

Sharing, syncing, deployment is all involved in cloud computing.

According to Cloud Computing for Dummies, “The cloud in cloud computing can be defined as the set of hardware, networks, storage, services, and interfaces that combine to deliver aspects of computing as a service. While, cloud services on the other hand include the delivery of software, infrastructure, and storage over the Internet based on user demand.”

Many companies and people are enjoying the benefits of cloud computing, since they can store their data (which is held in gigabytes and cannot be stored in mediums such as CD’s or external hard drive) in the cloud and share them wherever and or whenever they want to. Cloud computing characteristics such as:

Elasticity and the ability to scale up and down, self-service provisioning and automatic deprovisioning, application programming interfaces (APIs), billing and metering of service usage in a pay-as-you-go model.

These characteristics are essential in meeting large scale demands, and is entirely beneficial by:

·        Providing more space and computing (including server systems) power,

·        Utilization of less time to share resources, provide services and facilitating business processes

·        Ensures low cost and added flexibility to attract individuals and businesses to move to the cloud.

Welcome to the Tablet Generation

IPAD 2 repair concerns

With IPad 2 released from Apple, there's a concern that the IPad 2 is harder to repair. One of the issues being raised include the high level of complexity created for the glass panel to be difficult to be removed thus the possibility of breaking it while trying to open it from the case for fixing (it has been designed specifically so that only Apple can open it up).

If you are planning to get one weigh the pros and cons, if the cons outweigh it then change your option.

Especially now that There are many emerging tablets competing with Apple IPAD - i.e. Blackberry playbook, Samsung galaxy tab, Motorola xoom, Panasonic tablet and so forth.
